Beast, Belle, Maurice & Enchantress come to life in Stagehands' production

SPRING VALLEY – In a magical kingdom, there loomed an ancient and ominous castle poking out of a constant mist. The lord of this castle was simply known as “The Beast” (Christopher Harney). He was by all accounts a very handsome, but a very arrogant and selfish, prince until he fell under the spell of an Enchantress (Tiffany Schultz) who transformed him into a hideous Beast. He would remain as such until the spell was broken when he learned to “love another and earn their love in return” before the last petal of an enchanted rose fell.

Into this tale entered the beautiful and studious Belle (Lindsey Bundgaard) who lived in the quaint and quiet village far below the forbidding castle walls. She lived comfortably, but with a dash of restlessness, with her brilliant but eccentric father Maurice (Wade Gardner). Belle and Maurice unfortunately crossed paths with the ferocious Beast inside the dark and craggy castle walls. Maurice was imprisoned there until Belle bravely came to his rescue and offered herself up to take his place within the prison bars, but only if she promised to remain there forever.

The scene was set for Belle to remain with the confines of the castle forever under the watch eye of the hideous Beast and his quirky castle staff.  Does Belle remain imprisoned in the castle prison forever? Does the Beast ever find true love?
