Colleen V. Reichert, age 93, of Prescott, Wis., passed away peacefully at the Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Feb. 15, 2023.

Colleen was born on Jan. 29, 1930, in Ellsworth, Wis. to Lyle and Ottilla (Thom) Keller.

She is a graduate of Ellsworth High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Colleen moved to Minneapolis where she worked for the Dayton Company. She moved to Prescott in 1949 to become the bookkeeper for Lakeside Creamery. She later became Secretary/Treasurer of St. Croixdale Hospital until her retirement in January 1992.

Colleen was married to Jerald (Jerry) Reichert at the English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth,

Wis. on Sept. 8, 1951. To this union two children were born, Jill Anne, and Jack Arthur.

Colleen was an avid reader and belonged to several book clubs. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of a local Bridge Club. Win or lose, she was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan.

Colleen was an Auxiliary member of the Prescott American Legion Post 61 and the Pierce County VFW Post 9060. She enjoyed working at many of the Legion chicken fries. As a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prescott, she sang in the choir for several years.

Colleen and Jerry enjoyed traveling. During vacations they visited most of the states, including the Hawaiian Islands. They also traveled to Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean Islands. After retirement they were fortunate to spend 19 years in Florida or California during the winters. Her preferred destination was California where they attended many Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and Dinah Shore celebrity golf tournaments, including the tournament in which four US Presidents participated.

Colleen is survived by her son, Jack (Karla) Reichert; grandchildren, Chad Ngcheed, Jenny Wollan, Jeremiah Reichert, Megan Reichert, Melissa Reichert, Brianna Baez, and Emily Reichert; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Ashton, and Amelia Wollan, Brody Ngcheed, William and Jack Reichert, Addison and Austin Morillon, and Anai Baez.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, daughter Jill Ngcheed, and sister June Laurens.

The family would like to thank the staff at Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Community for the wonderful care given to Colleen over the seven years she resided at the facility. They would also like to offer their appreciation for the services of St. Croix Hospice.

A Celebration of Colleen’s life will be held at a later date.
