The Ellsworth Community School District honored its six retirees, as well as celebrated years of service milestones and a former school board member during its Recognition Dinner on May 21 at the Ridgetop.
Retirees - Vicki Boyd (elementary professional), Barry Cain (superintendent), Lynne Hamilton (third grade teacher), Mary Hanson (special education paraprofessional), Lynn Loesch (elementary paraprofessional) and Anita Peterson (third grade teacher)
Staff members honored for years of service:
35 years - Angela Skarman (van driver)
30 years - Roman Huppert (bus driver), Traci Maxwell (elementary administrative assistant) and Anita Peterson (third grade teacher)
25 years - Mary Edquist (elementary food service), Lynne Hamilton (third grade teacher) and Julie Murphy (high school food service)
20 years - Sandra Radkey (community education coordinator), Stacie Robey (high school special education paraprofessional), Tena Sager (custodian/food service staff), Donald Schladweiler (bus driver) and Haley Schmidt (elementary speech pathologist)
15 years - Wendy Augustine (elementary paraprofessional) and Jeremy Fisk (middle school physical education teacher)
Katie Feuerhelm was honored after not seeking re-election for the school board after nine years on the board.
