Edwin Frederick Skog, age 86, of Bay City, passed away at his residence on Feb. 3, 2023. Edwin was born to Frederick and Minnie (Fosberg) Skog on Nov. 14, 1936, in Red Wing, Minn. He graduated from Ellsworth High School with the class of 1954. Edwin worked on his farm and owned a dry walling business for many years. Edwin’s life was blessed with three children, Timothy, Anita and Jason.
Edwin enjoyed collecting things, from model tractors to many other things. He had a love for flying airplanes and the freedom that came with the open skies. Edwin was also fond of photography, snapping a photo whenever he could catch the beauty of the environment around him.
Edwin is survived by his children; Timothy (Carla) Skog, Anita (Terry) George, and Jason (Shelly) Skog; grandchildren: Mariah, Raelyn, Sydney, Luke, Madelyn, and Charlotte; siblings: Gerald Skog, Annette Walz, and Joanne (Michael) Russell; previous spouse: Christine; along with a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Minnie Skog.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
