The following people were hired at Elmwood School District for the 2023-2024 school year.

Hailey Baier

Position: Agriscience/middle school science teacher

Hometown: Mondovi

Education: UW-River Falls

Hobbies/interests: Camping with my husband and two dogs, meeting up with friends, enjoying the sun and riding my bike!

What are you most looking forward to this year? I am looking forward to working on the new science curriculum because it will be a lot of learning for myself, but I will get to do it alongside the students! They can teach me just as much, if not more, than I can teach them sometimes!

Lisa Beyer

Position: Food service

Hometown: We live on a farm outside Elmwood.

Family: My husband Terry and I have two girls: One in fifth grade and the other in 4K.

John Elsen

Position: Building and grounds maintenance

Hometown: La Crosse

Education: UW-Stout

Hobbies/interests: Going for walks, watching movies, axe throwing, escape rooms

Family: I have been married to my wife for almost 11 years. Last year we walked across Spain on a path called the Camino de Santiago. Then we moved to Plum City to join my sister-in-law and her husband in the area.

What are you most looking forward to this year? Making sure the school is a clean, safe, and well-maintained area for all students and staff.

Amy Fisher

Position: Food service director

Hometown: Oconomowoc

Education: CVTC Eau Claire

Hobbies/interests: Hiking and traveling

What are you most looking forward to this year? I am looking forward to students trying new healthy options.

Sandra Price

Position: Custodian

Hometown: Elmwood

Hobbies/interests: Drawing, dancing, learning on my Native American flute, singing in praise bands and going for my 4-mile walk.

Family: My wonderful husband Russ is a cook at Cenex and my daughter Cassandra is married and has a 5-year-old daughter Sierra. We have a Black Lab named Jasper. I love my family very much.

What are you most looking forward to this year? Starting my new journey at the school, making a lot of new friends. God blessed me with a great family and now all of you at the school.

Morgan Rupakus-Keenlyne

Position: Paraprofessional

Hometown: I am a familiar face here at Elmwood as I have helped teach in the summer school program, Jump Start Program, as well as subbing in the district. I am also an Elmwood alumna, so I am very excited to be coming back to the community that helped create my passion for education.

Education: I graduated from UW-Stout in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and will be returning to Stout this fall to pursue my bachelor’s degree in special education.

Hobbies/interests: I enjoy traveling with my family and spending time outdoors.

Family: I live locally with my husband (also an Elmwood graduate) and out two boys.

What are you most looking forward to this year? I can’t wait to see what this year has in store!
