The Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week for May 3 is Prescott High School senior Dylan Sterud, nominated by tech education teacher Logan Figueroa.
“Dylan is a very positive and outgoing person,” Figueroa said. “He is always willing to help out other students around him without being asked, even if it means putting his own problems and work aside. His ability to communicate with everyone around him really helps set a good example for underclassmen.”
Dylan is the son of Mike and Jami Sterud. In his free time, he likes to play golf and bowl with friends. He is also a member of the PHS cross country and baseball teams.
“I love to hunt and fish with my grandpa,” Dylan said. “Ever since I was little, I enjoyed volunteering for the Fire Hall with my dad, which included such things as pancake breakfasts. I also have worked for Kasco the past few summers doing light assembly work and return/repairs.”
Dylan will attend UW-Stout in the fall for mechanical engineering.
