Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week: Lane Meyer

The Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week for April 12 is Prescott High School senior Lane Meyer, nominated by teacher Linzie Gienau.

“Lane has been chosen as the Kiwanis Student of the Week for his hard work ethic and commitment to community service opportunities,” Gienau said. “Every day around lunchtime, Lane can be found sweeping the floors and wiping down the tables at Ptacek’s. He keeps the lunch area clean for both Ptaceks’ workers and Prescott community members. On Fridays, Lane works hard at Prescott Roadhouse by helping employees break down boxes, weigh out cheese curds and cleans the area for customers. On top of his outstanding commitment to community service, Lane is also a full-time student at PHS. He loves making others smile and is always ready to greet anyone in the hallways. His positive, hard-working attitude is why Lane is being nominated for the Kiwanis Student of the Week award.”

Lane is the son of Dick and Barbara Meyer. He is a movie buff who enjoys searching out new movies to purchase at thrift stores. He also enjoys playing video games with friends. He plans to apply to Project Search in River Falls next spring.
