Representing Wisconsin State Assembly District 93

The debate over Wisconsin's budget and the state's priorities for the following two years has already begun. My goals in this budget are to continue to support our excellent schools, maintain low taxes for individuals and businesses, increase broadband availability, and support local farmers.

As your State Representative, I still need to know what your top priorities are. That's why I've been doing one-on-one conversations with voters across the entire 93rd Assembly District and hosting listening sessions in the district. As the budget begins to take shape, these conversations help me determine what issues I should be supporting with my colleagues.

If you weren’t able to attend one of my listening sessions, there is still time to make sure your voice is heard. Soon you should receive a copy of the budget survey I sent in the mail. You'll be asked the same questions as the online survey: To rate your spending priorities, rank various budgetary measures, and respond to questions about mandatory sentencing and support for various public benefit programs.

I've also posted the survey on my website, www.RepWarrenPetryk.com under the "Spring 2023 Budget Survey" link, to save on postage.

Your opinions are crucial in this process because the budget is the biggest item on which I can only cast a single vote—yes or no—and because it has several components that have an impact on practically every aspect of state government. As always, feel free to contact my office toll-free at 888-534-0093 or send me an email at Rep.Petryk@legis.wi.gov if you have any further comments or questions regarding matters unrelated to the state budget process.
