Senior Gathering Place activities for June 19

Gathering Place members and friends, PLEASE NOTE: Due to no electricity in the building, the Gathering Place at the Prescott Middle School will be closed June 17-July 1. All activities normally meeting at the Gathering Place will move to the First National Bank- Lower Level Community Room during this time.

Wednesday, June 19: Cards will be played, with Euchre at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.

Thursday, June 20: Pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at Lions Park (Elm Street).

Friday, June 21: Memory Café will meet 10-11:30 a.m. at Freedom Park (200 Monroe St.)

Tuesday, June 25: Walking Group meets at 9 a.m. at the Middle School parking lot. Pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at the courts at Lions Park ( Elm Street). Mahjongg meets at 9 a.m.: remember to go to First National Bank Community Room. All skill levels are welcome. Book Club meets at 1 p.m. for discussion of the June book, “The Forest of Vanishing Stars” by Kristin Harmel. Meet at First National Bank Community Room.

Wednesday, June 26: Meet your friends for cards, Euchre at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.

Coming events:

  • Pontoon Boat ride on the Mississippi River from 1-3 p.m. Thursday July 18 OR 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 23. Cost is $10 per person, limited to 10 people each trip. Must register at the Gathering Place by July 9.
  • July Book Club selection is “Lightening Strike” by William Kent Krueger.

Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Prescott. We will be resuming all functions back at that location after Monday July 1. All seniors 55 years and older are welcome at the Gathering Place.
