Hobbies/interests: My favorite thing to do is spending time with family. Watching my children and garden grow. I also love making crafts, playing board games, four-wheeling, movie nights and road trips.

Family: My husband and I recently moved to the area with our two children. We have loved getting involved with local sports, 4-H and church.

What are you most looking forward to this year? I am very excited to start the new school year. I am looking forward to getting to know the students and their families.

Hometown: Ellsworth

Education: UW-River Falls

Hobbies/interests: Reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Family: My parents are Mandee and Jeremy Brenner and I have three siblings: Mike, Fallon and Colten.

What are you most looking forward to this year? I am so excited to work with the wonderful students and staff at St. Francis!

Melody Perrin

Position: Music teacher

Hometown: The lovely Dutch town of Pella, Iowa - where the Pella Windows are made, and the fantastic Tulip Time celebration is held each spring

Education: Appalachian State University in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC and Central University of Pella, Iowa

Hobbies/interests: Backpacking/hiking/camping, snow skiing, gardening, having backyard campfires with friends/family, getting our new neighborhood ukulele band up and running (lots of laughter all around), and spending time at the family cabin (North Shore of Lake Superior) off the Gunflint Trail, north of Grand Marais, Minn.

Family: I am the proud mother of five children (one daughter and four sons), plus grandmother of eight (thus far:), and one great granddaughter. Geographically, I'm essentially in the middle of them all, so we need to make time to travel a bit to see one another. My children have all chosen varied professions that include the military, technology, banking, dog breeding, and frisbee golf!

What are you looking forward to most this year? I am so very excited for the opportunity to get to know the children and teachers. It brings me great joy to see others' worlds open to all the possibilities through music. There's so much to explore, and to develop through the elements of pitch, rhythm. tempo, timbre, etc., and I really do have a passion to utilize music to enhance cognitive, communication, social/behavioral, emotional, locomotor, and spiritual domains. Additionally, I look forward to being a part of the St. Francis team, as we all play a part in the lives of children for mentoring/supporting well, so that others will be encouraged to grow in their faith. The possibilities are endless. and the sky's the limit! Hang on, because the ride is going to be a brand new adventure...
