St. Joseph Parish School in Prescott has welcomed three new teachers this school year.

Amy Foy

Position: Fourth grade co-teacher with Ms. Bauer

Family: I am married to Erroll, we have two daughters, Caroling and Grace, and we have a Bernedoodle named Duke!

Hobbies/interests: Reading, gardening, watching my kids play their sports and walking my dog.

Favorite book: “A Salty Piece of Land” by Jimmy Buffett. I read it every summer.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? The ability to fly. It would save me so much time!

Favorite ice cream flavor: Whichever one has the most chocolate in it.

If you could have any other job besides being a teacher, what would it be? A pastry chef

If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would travel the world with my family.

What are you most looking forward to this year? An exciting year of learning at St. Joe’s!

Mille Kiefer
Position: Kindergarten teacher at St. Joseph Parish School 
Hometown: Prescott 
Education: WGU
Hobbies/interests: Crafting, planning parties, being with my family, and volunteering in our community. 
Family: I am married to Aaron Kiefer and we have five children: Nola, Olin, Emit, Leon and Joel.

Favorite book: “The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree” by Stan and Jan Berenstain

If you could have one super power, what would it be? Healing

Favorite ice cream flavor: Cookie dough or cherry cheesecake

If you could have any other job besides being a teacher, what would it be? Entrepreneur: A pizza place with an indoor children’s playland.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Expanding St. Joseph’s Parish School to include grades 7-12.
What are you looking forward to most this year? Getting to know the new students and their families.

Madilyn Smith

Position: Second grade teacher

Hometown: Ellsworth

Education: Winona State University

Hobbies/interests: Reading, boating, spending time with friends and family.

Favorite book: “Verity” by Colleen Hoover

If you could have one super power, what would it be? I would want to have invisibility.

Favorite ice cream flavor: Cookie dough!

If you could have any other job besides being a teacher, what would it be? I think I would want to be a police officer.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would buy myself and house and a lot of books and blankets!

What are you most looking forward to this year? I am looking forward to getting to know my students and my fellow faculty members. I am also looking forward to getting to know the Prescott community better!
