PRESCOTT JOURNAL July 5, 2012 Hot lunch prices increase, school gets a new sign By Louis Garcia Hot lunch prices will be going up in the Prescott School District (PSD) as part of a federal government requirement.

“We’ve tried not to have large price increases, but according to the new Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act we need to have an average price next year of a certain amount there,” PSD superintendent Roger Hulne said.

The act requires an average price of $2.51 for next school year’s lunches.

It’s how he describes his time as a part- time police officer in Prescott these past two- and-a-half months.

“I love it. It’s an absolutely fun, fun, fun town to work in,” Neely said. “There’s always something going on. People are nice, it’s just an all around nice area.”

Helping Hands 4-H Club

At the May 4-H meeting, Mr. Frank Ginther came in and talked to us about the 4-H program. He talked about some of the things the older members can do throughout the years, such as going on trips, meetings, counselor for 4-H camp, and etc.

He brought in a 4-H Jeopardy board game and the 4-H members played. We also got our 4-H fair forms. When we played 4-H Jeopardy we learned many things about the fair and the projects.

We also talked about picking up the highway as a way of earning money for our club.
