The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department July 5-10.

Tuesday, July 5

At 5:19 a.m., a driver was stopped near the intersection of N. Maple St. and W. Overlook Dr. and warned for operating their vehicle without lights in the heavy fog.

At 8:16 a.m., a semi driving with rear doors swinging open was stopped near the intersection of W. Main St. and S. Piety St. The driver secured the doors.

At 9:19 a.m., police were contacted by a subject with two cats that were caught in a live trap. Both cats appeared to be feral and were released.

At 10:47 a.m., a worker at the Pierce Vet Clinic was bitten by a cat while scanning for a microchip. The cat is being held at the clinic for the 10-day quarantine period.

At 1:41 p.m., an officer assisted with locked keys in a vehicle in the 800 block of W. Carins St.

At 5:15 p.m., a subject in the 700 block of E. Campbell St. was given five days to remove their truck from the roadway.

At 7:18 p.m., a large pile of branches near the intersection of S. Oak St. and W. Church St. was removed and brought to the village dump.

Wednesday, July 6

At 9:11 a.m., subjects operating ATVs on E. Main St. near N. Wallace St. were stopped. They stated they were unaware of the law and received a warning.

At 9:19 p.m., a driver was stopped and warned for a headlight out on W. Industrial Rd. near N. Maple St.

At 9:25 p.m., a dog reportedly dug under a fence in the 900 block of Southgate Dr. and was at large. The owners were notified and advised they would find the dog and were in the process of getting rid of it.

Thursday, July 7

At 11:46 a.m., a report was received from the 100 block of N. Maple St. that an older male driving a 90’s red pickup truck filled up $71 worth of fuel and did not pay for it.

At 1:07 p.m., a subject called looking for options after a social media account was hacked and he stated that he was unable to access it. He was referred to the social media for assistance.

At 1:44 p.m., an upset and anonymous person reported vandalism in the 200 block of N. Broadway St. No problems were observed, and residents stated there were no issues.

At 4:39 p.m., a homeless subject requested to speak to an officer about their dogs and van that is in or was in Montana.

At 5:37 p.m., a vehicle was stopped for expired registration on Hwy. 10 near Cty. Tk. C. The driver was unable to provide current registration or proof of insurance.

At 6:32 p.m., a subject found a board off of his storage closet in the 200 block of E. Summit Ave. and wanted to report it so it was documented.

At 8:07 p.m., a subject was asked to leave the area of a business in the 100 block of N. Chestnut St. and told to leave the area and not return.

At 9:42 p.m., a crosswalk sign in the roadway was put back in place near the intersection of E. Main St. and S. Beebee St.

Friday, July 8

At 8:27 a.m., a driver was stopped near the intersection of N. Maple St. and W. Ray St. and warned for speed.

At 11:01 a.m., Elizabeth Huie, 62 of Ellsworth was given a citation for selling tobacco to minors in the 400 block of W. Main St.

At 11:23 a.m., Parker Grizzle, 19 of Ellsworth was given a citation for selling tobacco to minors in the 100 block of W. Main St.

At 1:21 p.m., a suspicious person was reported in the 300 block of Panther Dr. After area was searched for a while, a subject was found who stated they are working with a local church, and they are making a documentary about Ellsworth. Everything was fine.

At 2:42 p.m., a suspicious person was reported near the intersection of N. Brown St. and W. Overlook St. The subject was contacted and reported that he was having people fill out surveys for work. Everything appeared to be fine.

At 3:41 p.m., a subject reported damage to their vehicle in the 100 block of E. Main St.

At 5:04 p.m., a caller stated someone keyed their car in the 100 block of Evergreen Estates St. The caller requested it be documented and stated they believed they knew who did it. The person in question stated they did not do it.

At 7:26 p.m., a gas driveoff was reported in the 100 block of W. Main St. Evidence photos were collected of the incident.

At 9:23 p.m., a subject was upset that a business in the 300 block of W. Main St. was closed and threatened to come back and beat up the employee. The business wanted them trespassed. The subject was told over the phone that she was not allowed back.

At 9:48 p.m., a complaint was received of a disorderly person in the 600 block of E. Main St. Upon arrival, the person was walking away. Contact was made, and he was advised to go home for the evening.

At 11:22 p.m., a suspicious male was reported in the 200 block of W. Main St. The male stated he was kicked out of his house and was waiting for his friends to pick him up. His friends arrived.

Saturday, July 9

At 4:06 a.m., a complaint of yelling was received in the 400 block of High Point Dr. The area was checked, but nobody was observed outside or yelling.

At 6:11 a.m., a noise complaint was received in the 400 block of High Point Dr. A subject refused to come outside and speak with officers and would only yell from their window. The subject was advised to stop yelling and the complainant was advised to avoid the subject.

At 4:37 p.m., motorcycles were assisted with traffic through town.

At 11:40 p.m., Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted with a motorcycle crash after a report was received that the driver and passenger had injuries.

Sunday, July 10

At 8:01 a.m., a subject was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of W. Main St.

At 8:39 a.m., a driver was stopped and warned for no front plate and tint on the rear plate.
