Is it true that Wisconsin students performed poorly, even worse than those of Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan? "Not Proficient" is a term that should frighten students, parents and educators alike. Please, please let us not allow this to be the norm. We can produce capable, competent students in reading, writing, math, history and science, in addition to providing technical career building skills. Let’s leave sociology to the sociologists, and stop blaming the pandemic and other societal distractions for our failures.
Vote for the two FRESH voices, school board candidates Cassie Erickson and write-in Patrick Richter, both who believe in common sense budgeting and in graduating students with productive, prideful futures, not only four more years of getting to know themselves.
