Coming to America: Now & Then – 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, Prescott High School Library. Open to all and free. Pre-registration appreciated by emailing ppeters2@prescott.k12.wi.us

Join us for a timely program on immigration, refugees, and asylum seekers. Help yourself to refreshments and settle in for an informative panel discussion about the roots of these current controversial issues.

Book Club (for adults) - First Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., Prescott Public Library. Fee: October-January is $5, October-May is $10. October's book is “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. Pre-registration required by emailing ppeters2@prescott.k12.wi.us 

ACT Prep Class – Starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, Prescott High School. Fee of $125 includes workbook; pre-registration required by emailing ppeters2@prescott.k12.wi.us. If pre-registered by Sept. 28, you'll have your workbook in time for the first class, registrations after this date will have them starting with the second class.

Open Adult Basketball – At 7 p.m. every Sunday, Prescott Intermediate School Gym (125 Elm St.) No pre-registration/no fee

Open Adult Volleyball – At 7 p.m. every Monday, Prescott Intermediate School Gym (125 Elm St.) No pre-registration/no fee

Total Body Circuit – 5:05-5:50 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Prescott High School. Pre-registration required: email ppeters2@prescott.k12.wi.us. October dates (nine classes are $63), November dates (eight classes are $56) and December dates (six classes are $42.) 

Chess Club - 6-8 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 5-30, Prescott Middle School. Weekly meetings will be divided into an instructional period and over-the-board play. Open to all ages and ability levels. Fee is $25 and pre-registration is required; email ppeters2@prescott.k12.wi.us 

Understanding Electricity and How Things Work – 6:30-9 p.m. Oct. 9, 11, 16 and 18, Prescott Middle School. Fee is $50. With the beginners in mind, you will learn about voltage, current, resistance, digital multimeters, relays, solenoids, generators, batteries and more with many hands-on demonstrations. Pre-registration is required; email ppeters2@prescott.k12.wi.us
