RIVER FALLS – The River Falls Fighting Fish baseball club and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls have designated the Fish’s Saturday, July 23, home game as UW-River Falls Night.

Sponsored by the UWRF Alumni Association and Career Services, the game provides an opportunity for alumni, faculty, staff and sup – porters to gather at one of the region’s premier sports facilities, First National Bank of River Falls Field.

The event features a 6 p.m. pre-game social at Hoffman Park’s Octagon, adjacent to the stadium. Game time is 7 p.m. when the Fighting Fish take on the Osceola Braves. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by UWRF Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs David Travis.

The Fighting Fish are a collection of current and former college ballplayers representing the community of River Falls. The Fish are a part of the St. Croix Valley Baseball League and the Wisconsin Baseball Association.

“We’re delighted to partner with the Fighting Fish and look forward to a great UWRF Night,” said Pedro Renta, UWRF Alumni Relations director. “It’s an ideal opportunity for the UWRF family to gather at an amazing stadium to cheer on the hometown team. It just doesn’t get any better.”

The game is free. Attendees interested in the UWRF pre-game social can register at https://tinyurl.com/uwru ish. For more information, contact Pedro Renta at 715-425-3505 or [email protected]
