Wednesday, July 20 Ono Methodist Noon Meal, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Ono United Methodist Church (corner of County Road CC and Highway 10). The ladies are back in the kitchen! Serving ham, scalloped potatoes, salads and pies. Come for good food and fellowship. Plate is $12 per person.

Kids Who Read ‘R’ Cool Magic Show, 1 p.m., Summit Park. Join magician Brian Richards for a reading- themed magic show! Geared toward kids and families, but all are welcome. Part of Ellsworth Public Library Summer Reading Program. Rain location is Zion Covenant Church (210 N. Beulah St.)

Thursday, July 21 Cookout Conversations, 6-7:30 p.m., DeSanctis Park (Glover Schoolhouse), 1625 DeSanctis Place. The City of River Falls Mayor Cookout Conversations are back! Grab a pop and hotdog (or veggie dog) and get to know your city council members.

A Morning in the Garden, 10:30 a.m., Grow to Share Garden, Hoffman Park (547 Hanson Drive, River Falls). Join Ellsworth Public Library’s Ms. Caroline and Grow to Share volunteers for stories, learning about the program and helping with harvest. All are welcome.

St. Croix Valley Job Center, 1 p.m., Ellsworth Public Library. Get assistance with enhancing your job search, applying for unemployment, resume writing, interview preparation and networking. Individual appointments available.

Poolside Story Time, 2:30 p.m., Klaas-Jonas Community Pool (312 Panther Drive, Ellsworth). Join Ms. Caroline from the Ellsworth Public Library for a story time during afternoon swim breaks. Subject to change based on weather or pool-related schedule changes.

Summer Fun Series, 4-7 p.m., East End Park, Ellsworth. Browse a variety of farm, artisan and craft vendors at the Ellsworth Farmers Market, enjoy food from local food trucks, take part in family friendly activities and listen to live music from local bands and musicians.

Community Book Club, 6:30 p.m., Summit Park. Let’s gather together to share our love of books, conversation and community. This month’s selection is “Malibu Rising” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Books are available for checkout at the library. Inclement weather location is library lower level (312 W. Main St.)

Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club Chicken Feed, Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club (W3930 State Road 72, Ellsworth). All you can eat chicken, biscuits and gravy and cold beverages along the Rush River. Kids welcome with great play area. Give trap shooting a try; beginners welcome. Tickets are $15 per person; kids 5 and under eat free, ages 6-10 are $10. First seating is at 5:30 p.m., second seating at 7 p.m. Tickets available at Matt’s Electric, Broz Bar, Hines Auction, JRs in Plum City and Mooney’s Rusty Horse in Spring Valley.

Music in the Park, 7 p.m., Veterans Park, downtown River Falls. Community Arts Base presents Tommy Bentz Band, bluesy jazz rock.

Summer Park Program, 3-4 p.m., Prescott Lions Public Square Park (across from Prescott Middle School). For ages 9-14. Each week a local organization will host an activity (or more) for kids. Connect with friends and have fun. The program is free thanks to weekly sponsors. Friday, July 22 Story Time at East End Park, 10 a.m. Join Ellsworth Public Library’s Ms. Caroline for a story and activities every Friday at East End Park. Inclement weather location is the library lower level (312 W. Main St.)

Pierce County Fair Motocross, 7 p.m., Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St., Ellsworth). Local racers welcome. Beer garden and food available for purchase. Tickets are $10 for ages 7 and older, $5 for those under 7.

Saturday, July 23 Meat Raffle, 2-5 p.m., Highway 63 Bar & Grill (N4306 US Highway 63, Ellsworth). Hosted by the Ellsworth Lions Club. All profits will go to Elsie’s Barnyard.

Kenny’s Car Show, 11 a.m., Kenny’s Lawton Bar (N6499 US Highway 63, Ellsworth). Celebrate Kenny’s Lawton Bar 10th anniversary and birthday with an inaugural car show. Open to all and no entry fee; six winners will be chosen. Brats and burgers available for purchase, karaoke, outdoor beer bar.
