Adventure Begins at Your Library this summer (and every day!) Join us for the Ellsworth Public Library Summer Library Program through Aug. 2. Attend fun programs for all ages, create in the Makerspace and take part in the Summer Adventures Reading Challenge where you keep track of your reading to earn prizes or chances to win prizes. We can't wait to be a part of your summer fun!

Stop in and ask us about the Explore MORE Passport and the Check Out Wisconsin State Parks at Your Library Programs.

On display now through July 31 is “Seasons: Gordon Halverson Watercolors.” From July 1 through Sept. 30, see “Pierce County Railroad History(in the local history vault display case.

  • Stitchin’ Time Crafters: Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Contact the library to get on the group email list.
  • Family Show Wednesdays:
    • July 3 – Seeing Seeing Stars with Paul Kinzer with StarLab Traveling Planetarium. Shows at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the South Gym at Ellsworth High School
    • July 10 - Stories and Songs with Stuart Stotts, 10:30 a.m. at Summit Park
    • July 17 - Animal Adventures with the Creature Teacher, 10:30 am at Summit Park
    • July 24 - CLIMB Theatre presents: Country Mouse & City Mouse: Adventures in the Suburbs, 10:30 am at Summit Park (rain location: Zion Covenant Church Community Room)
  • Poolside Storytimes, Thursdays (July 11, 18 and 25) at approximately 2:30 p.m., Klaas-Jonas Pool during the afternoon lifeguard break
  • Morning Storyime, Fridays at 10:30 a.m. at East End Park. Takes place July 5, July 19 (special guest Rubeus, the gentle giant donkey), and July 26 at Elsie's Barnyard (W6212 450th)
  • July 4 the library will be closed in observance of Independence Day
  • Fascinating Loons: 11 a.m. July 9 with Stan Tekiela, followed by a luncheon sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Senior Center (Ellsworth Senior Center)
  • Morning Book Club: 10:30 a.m. July 11 in the meeting room
  • Together Thursday, 5-7 p.m. July 11. Part of the Summer Fun Series featuring the music of Skipping Stones
  • Special Evening Storytime Author Event: 6 p.m. July 12 at Elsie's Barnyard (W6212 450th), featuring “The Everybody Club” with authors Nancy Loewen and Linda Hayen
  • Tech Time: 10:30 a.m. July 15. Sign up for a one-on-one appointment with our tech guru (Study Room)
  • LEGO at the Library: 3:30-5:30 p.m. July 16
  • Croix Valley Job Center Employment Assistance: 1-3 p.m. July 18 in the study room
  • Summer STEM: Messy Science Adventures – 10-11:30 a.m. July 20 in East End Park; registration recommended
  • Together Thursday: 5-7 p.m. July 25, part of the Summer Fun Series featuring the music of Patchouli and Terra Guitara with a Movement Arts Hub Dance Performance at 6:30 p.m.
  • Summer Teen Meet-up Grill & Chill, 5-6 p.m. July 30 at Summit Park
  • Author Events: 10:30 a.m. July 31, “The Shellbox Ocean Party” and at 5:30 p.m., “Great Lakes Shipwrecks,” with Wisconsin author Kathy Groth
