Debra J. Knutson, age 69, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024.
Debbie was born on July 8, 1954 in Red Wing, Minn. She grew up in Ellsworth, Wis, with her parents, brother, and two sisters.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Knutson on Nov, 4, 1978. Together they raised two sons.
Debbie worked many years at Coast to Coast / True Value Hardware, where she spoke to many people every day and made many lifelong friends. She retired in 2006 and began working in home health care.
Debbie enjoyed spending time up north and boating with Jerry. They spent many summers at their second home up north.
Debbie loved living close to her grandchildren and they were the light of her life. There wasn’t a day that went by that she didn’t call or text with them.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband Jerry; sons Josh (Angie) of River Falls and Donny (Jennifer) of Ellsworth; grandchildren Kylie, Emmett, Addison, Bentley, and Dylan; great-granddaughter Faye; her dear friend Marie Hofstad; brother Dennis; sister Lucinda and many friends and family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Joyce Peterson; in-laws Glenn and Doris Knutson; sister Linda, and her grandson Grady.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1, 2024 at Rush River Lutheran Church, N8623 County Road Y, River Falls, WI. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a ceremony at 1 p.m.
