RIVER FALLS – Soup season is here; join Our Neighbors' Place from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 for Empty Bowls, an event to raise money and awareness for food insecurity in River Falls.

The evening will feature soup from 10 area restaurants, as well as bread and dessert. Vote for your favorite soup and choose a handcrafted bowl to take home as a tangible reminder to continue helping with hunger relief efforts locally.

Tickets are available by credit card through our website at https://www.ourneighborsplace.org/menu/events or in person with cash or check at the Day Center (122 W Johnson St., River Falls) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 (ages 8-17), kids 7 and under are free. Tickets are also available at the door (while supplies last).

The event will be held at St. Bridget Church, 211 E. Division St., River Falls. Funds raised will support the Our Neighbors' Place Backpack Program (food for families in the River Falls School District) and the Our Neighbors' Place Day Center (drop in facility with direct resources including food).

Participating soup donors include Tattersall Distillery, Westwind Supper Club, Kilkarney Hills, The Table on Main, Kinni Cafe, Mei Mei's Cookies & Creamery, Mindful Fork Catering, WE Market Co-op, Paddy's Pub and Boxty House, Tarnation Tavern, and The Sycamore of River Falls. Bread is donated by Rise Baking. Desserts are donated by GaGa's Kitchen.
