ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Public Library invites the public to check out a full slate of November events.

Art on Display: The Art of Kathy Swanson through Jan. 4, with an artist’s reception from 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 2. Meet Kathy and enjoy an evening of art and refreshments.

On Display in the Local History Vault: Soar Into the Past: Pierce County Aviation

In the Makerspace: Explore wood crafts; coloring pages and games always available. Keep an eye out for pop-up activities!

November is Picture Book Month and Nov. 6-12 is Children's Book Week.

Stitchin’ Time Crafters: 10 a.m. Wednesdays. Do you knit, crochet, cross-stitch or do other handicrafts and want to connect with others who do too? Join us on Wednesday mornings for crafting and socializing. (Location: Meeting Room)

Morning Storytime: 10:10 a.m. Fridays Nov. 3, 10 and 17 (Location: Storytime Playspace)

Teen Photo Contest: Submissions due by 8 p.m. Nov. 8

Morning Book Club: 10:30 a.m. Nov. 9, discussing “Black Cake.” (Location: Meeting Room)

Fall Uptown Stroll – Sip, Shop, Snack: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 11. The Ellsworth Public Library is thrilled to be a part of the Fall Uptown Stroll - Sip, Shop, Snack event honoring veterans. Stop by the Makerspace for refreshments and special craft to make for veterans.

Tech Time: 10:30 a.m. Nov. 13. One-on-one assistance from our tech expert, Barb. Call the library for an appointment time. Barb will be available for three half hour time slots every second Monday of each month. (Location: Study Room)

Discover Together Tuesday: 11 a.m. Nov. 14 Christopher L. Kolakowski, Director of the Wisconsin Veteran's Museum, joins us virtually for an overview of the Korean War, its context and relevance today. A meal sponsored by the Ellsworth Senior Center and the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library will follow. This program is open to people of all ages. (Location: Ellsworth Senior Center)
Doodle Club: 4 p.m. Nov. 14

Community Book Club: 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16; we will discuss “Yellow Wife.” (Location: Meeting Room)
Robotics Exploration: 10 or 11:30 a.m. Nov. 18; for ages 8+, registration recommended. 11:30 a.m. session will only be offered if 10 a.m. session fills)

Therapy Dog Maggie: 4 p.m. Nov. 20. Sign up for a time slot for one-on-one time with Maggie

LEGO at the Library: 3:30-5:30 p.m. Nov. 21

No School Day: Bingo! At 11 a.m. Nov. 22. Come play Bingo at the library. Snacks, fun and small prizes!

The library will be closed on November 23 and 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Tuesday Tales Storytime: 10:10 a.m. Nov. 26. A new monthly Storytime offering full of stories and songs followed by snack, arts and crafts and time for play and socialization. (Location: Storytime Playspace)

Teen Meet-up and TAB: 4 p.m. Nov. 30; video and board games, drawing and snacks. (Location: Teen Room)

Library Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday/Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
