Jacob “Jakey” John Deusterman, age 28, of River Falls, died unexpectedly on Dec. 17, 2022 at the River Falls Area Hospital. Jake was born to Peter and Sandra (Domben) Deusterman on Aug. 17, 1994 in River Falls, Wis. He attended Ellsworth High School and graduated with the Class of 2013. Jake proudly worked as a union carpenter and tradesman.
Jake was lovingly referred to as Jakey by his family. He was a funny, good, kind-hearted person with a big personality. Always willing to help anyone out. He enjoyed goofing around with his family and friends whenever the chance came. Jakey was a hardworking man with a lot of pride in his work. He was extremely proud to be an uncle and loved his nieces and nephews. In his free time, he enjoyed gaming with friends, going to the gym, traveling with family and friends, shooting pool while having a couple drinks and watching the Minnesota Vikings.
Jake will remain in the hearts of his loving mother: Sandra Deusterman; sisters: Jennifer (Nate Melstrom) Deusterman, Kathy (Dustin Gabert) Deusterman, Mary (Jacob) Marquardt and Laura (Tyler Eggenberger) Deusterman; nieces and nephews: Dylan and Lily Melstrom, Hailey, Ryland and Maddox Marquardt and Millie Eggenberger; grandmother: Sarah Domben; aunts and uncles: Joanne (Ken) Lubich, Jeanne Rice, Michael (Rose) Deusterman, Laurie (Ed) Kopp, Daniel (Judi) Deusterman, Beth Kudronowicz, Thomas Deusterman, Amy (Allen) Standaert, David (Vanessa) Domben, Debbie (Jody Bjornson) Frandrup, Anita (Rod) Parsons, Andy Domben, and Julia Domben;
his many cousins, along with countless other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Peter Deusterman; maternal grandfather: John Domben; and paternal grandparents: John and Bernadette (Gondreau) Deusterman; and best friend: Herby Ray Hoover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2022 at St. Francis Catholic Parish: 231 W. Woodworth St., Ellsworth, WI 54011. A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services: 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth, WI 54011. A visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for monetary gifts to help pay for funeral costs.
