Matthew James Fogerty, age 67, passed away on Nov. 18, 2022 at Kinnic Health & Rehab of River Falls, Wis.

Matthew was born June 13, 1955 to James and Gladys (Anderson) Fogerty in New Richmond, Wis. He was the oldest of five children.

He grew up on the family farm south of Roberts, Wis. He graduated from St. Croix Central High School, Class of 1974.

Matthew enjoyed working with his father on the farm and going to local auctions to buy repairable farm equipment until the death of his father in 1992. The farm then was sold in 1994. From that time, he worked for various farmers in the area, but never found a place called home. With help of family, he found a home at Ridgewood, a group home, where he lived out his remaining years.

While residing at Ridgewood, Matthew worked at Capital Safety as an assembler worker until COVID shut everything down. At that time, he decided to enjoy retirement. Matthew enjoyed many activities that Ridgewood offered, such as outings, especially bowling and time with family.

Matthew will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for him.

Matthew is survived by Karen Fogerty, Sharon (Ken) Wolf, Lyle (Bonnie) Fogerty, Darlene (Jeff) Emerson; nieces/nephews Theresa (Mike) Rasmussen, Steven (Karin) Wolf, Laura Wolf, Jacquie Fogerty, Andy (Kindel) Fogerty, Jared Emerson,
