Patrick “Pat” Joseph Augustine peacefully passed away on Nov. 11, 2023, at the age of 62. Beloved brother of Maureen (Rod) Anthony, Mary Jean Nonnenmacher, John (Jeanne) Augustine, and the late Ramon (Mary) Augustine. Proud uncle of Mike (Kim), Mark (Sherri), Dave (Debbie), Andy (Wendy), Tom (Lavon), Matt (Tammy), Carrie and Catherine (Mel); Colleen (Jeff), Steve (Careen), Scott (Alexandra), Doug; Amy, Peter (Alex); Phillip and Suzanna (Leo). Dear stepfather of Laura Wiltsey. Cherished friend of Amy Eirhart. Beloved son of the late Eugene and Mary Augustine. Further survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Patrick was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 21, 1960. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with an Accounting degree. He enjoyed his career, working in healthcare organizations for over 20 years. In 2001, he joined the Milwaukee School of Engineering as Controller, retiring in 2011. There he established an annual student award endowment fund for students with special needs.
Patrick was a competitive cribbage and card player and a very passionate sports fan; eager to talk for hours about any game. He loved animals, sharing a special connection with his two cats and our family dogs.
Pat was a kind, generous and loving man. He engaged in conversation easily and made quick friends with those he met. Our thanks to the Aurora nurses who provided him both care and friendship. Pat heroically managed through many health challenges with determination and hopefulness, inspiring those who knew him. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Services will be held at Saint Francis Church and Cemetery in Ellsworth, Wis. at a later date in 2024. Memorials in honor of Patrick can be directed to Access Ability Wisconsin (www.accessabilitywi.org).
