Are you wondering how you enter the Pierce County Fair?

First, look at the Premium Book (https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/fair_books.php), then decide what you might like to bring to the fair. Go to the Pierce County Fair website (https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/index.php), click on the “Online Exhibit Entries” link which leads you to “Blue Ribbon Fair Online.” Each exhibitor starts by creating a log-in account and following the instructions. Add your entries, review them, and check out. This system allows you to enter both the junior and open divisions by editing your profile. Upon check out, the program adds in your admission ticket and charges a one-time $3.25 processing fee. Do not forget to click the “submit” button to receive your confirmation and send the entry to the fair.

For those with livestock only, you must enter your choices by June 18. Livestock exhibitors may call the Fair Office at 715-273-6874 for modifications until July 10. After July 10, we can no longer make changes. If you need help, we are offering assistance by appointment on June 10; call 715-273-6874 to set a time.

The challenges

Baking - We again have the recipe challenge – “Can’t Be Beet Cake.” This is one great way to experiment with vegetables in making a luscious chocolate cake and getting the vegetables your family needs! You won’t believe how delicious this is!

Quilting – We are excited to partner with the Pierce County Meals on Wheels program to introduce the “Quilted Placemat Challenge.” This is a great opportunity for you to use your creative skills to brighten up someone’s day by designing and sewing a quilted placemat. Imagine the SMILES and JOY you will bring to our area seniors! Interested? Check out the Premium book or go to our fair website https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/index.php),

Online ticket sales

Starting in June, we will offer online ticket sales for admission, the Church of Cash Concert with Allison Dyg, and the Tractor/Truck Pull. Plan your time at the fair and purchase your tickets in advance for the best pricing!

Fair concert

We are super excited to have the Johnny Cash Tribute Band, Church of Cash, at the Fair at 7 p.m. Aug. 8. Area favorite, Allison Dyg will open the show. Jay Ernest and Church of Cash were honored with the “Best Tribute Band Act in 2019”and inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2021. Up and coming Allison Dyg has been working on her music since she was 14. Audiences are amazed at her spectacular voice and find her fun and entertaining. This night under the stars at Pierce County Fair will be magical! Advance tickets will go on sale for $10 online in June with pricing going to $15 the night of the concert. Call your friends and join us for a fun-packed evening!

Fair admission

This year brings an increase in the gate admission at the fair. We have managed to charge the same price since 2005, but with all the pricing changes in the world, we are not immune to price increases for our supplies and labor. With that, our Pierce County Fair admission will be $7 for daily tickets and $17 for season passes at the gate. However, we are able help you save some money by offering the opportunity to purchase advance sale season tickets in July at local businesses and online for $13. Daily admission tickets will be sold online for $5 until July 31. Don’t’ miss this chance!

Senior/Veterans Day

Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug 11. Seniors, ages 62 and up, receive gate admission for $3 and Veterans are FREE! We are having a recognition ceremony for our seniors, veterans, and Century Farm winners at 11:30 a.m., a euchre tournament at noon, and The Memories starting 1:30 p.m.

A Face for Every Name

The Pierce County Fair and the Pierce County Veteran Services Office are excited to present the display, Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name courtesy of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and funded in part by the Wisconsin Humanities Council with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Wisconsin Humanities Council is honored to provide this exhibit as part of its Working Lives Project. Go to www.wisocnsinhumanities.org for more details on any and all promotional material.

This traveling exhibit features a photo for each of the 1,161 Wisconsinites officially listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit also includes additional photos for names that are listed on The Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Neillsville. Wisconsin Remembers is a tribute to lost life and lost potential. It is our honor to bring this to the Pierce County Fair.

Work or volunteer at the fair

We do have many opportunities to be “smile makers” at the fair. Join us by working with our ticket and parking departments for some extra money or volunteer as judges or office helpers. Just reach out through email or telephone and we will get you signed up! Contact us at: fair@co.pierce.wi.us or call 715-273-6874.

We can’t wait to see you at the Pierce County Fair Aug. 8-11, 2024! Thank you to our community supporters, Fair Committee, fair and Pierce County.
